TERMS & CONDITIONS
By paying the deposit and tuition, you are confirming your attendance to the postponed 2020 Chico Hot Springs Portfolio Review hosted by Charcoal Book Club. The tuition fee of $3,750 covers lectures, meals, and portfolio reviews at Chico Hot Springs Resort, but you are responsible for your travel to and from the seminar. Upon acceptance, we will collect an additional fee for the accommodations you choose and book lodging on your behalf. Our Jury will review all portfolios and offer invitations based on merit.
Monday (10/18) and Sunday (10/24) are considered arrival and departure days. Lectures, panel discussions, and reviews will take place starting Tuesday (10/19/2021) and concluding Saturday (10/23/2021). Charcoal Book Club will provide three meals per day starting with dinner Monday (10/18) through breakfast Sunday (10/24). Full tuition and fees must be paid by Monday (8/30). All deposits, tuition, accommodation payments and fees are non-refundable. Charcoal Book Club is not responsible for reimbursing travel expenses if the event is postponed or canceled.
*2020 Postponed Chico Review Covid-19 Addendum:
If you are an attendee who has paid their full tuition and lodging for the 2020 Chico Review, but are unable to attend the rescheduled dates due to the reasons listed below, you can fully transfer your attendance credentials (tuition and lodging) toward any future Chico Hot Springs Portfolio for up to2 subsequent years (March 21-27, 2022 or March 20-26, 2023).
International Travel Bans
If you are prevented from traveling to the event within 6 weeks of the start date due to an international, government imposed travel ban related to Covid-19, you qualify to transfer your attendance credentials. We require proof of a Travel Ban from the applicable government messaging. Vaccine or testing requirements to travel do not constitute a travel ban. Travel advisories do not constitute a travel ban.
High risk Individuals
If you’re in a high-risk group, you qualify to transfer your attendance credentials. Please provide medical proof in alignment with the CDC's definition of moderately to severely immunocompromised people which include:
Been receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
Received a stem cell transplant within the last 2 years or are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome)
Advanced or untreated HIV infection
Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response
